The Educator and Advocate 

You can’t call yourself an Expert –

Like most monikers or titles, it has to be conferred upon you by someone else. It will only stick if others consistently use it to refer to you.

What you can do is position yourself as an Educator in your industry and an Advocate for the success of your clients and prospects.

Over time, this approach will cause others to look upon you as an Expert and contact you when they need an experienced perspective for a news story, a speaker for their conference, a columnist for their trade magazine or a consultant for their company.

Just ask Suze Orman, Dr. Oz, Richard Simmons, Anthony Robbins or scores of others who just started out helping people and became household names.

It worked for them and it will work for you.
