How 1 Presentation Became 2,288 Social Video Views

The results are in.

You may recall a blog I posted back on February 14th, where I described how I was combining the slide deck and audio recording of a single live seminar presentation to create 100 social video posts.

I told you I was going to track the results and report back to you a few weeks out.

Well, the results are in.

For a variety of reasons which I will explain in a future video, I only ended up with 78 video posts. [Great lessons learned for future campaigns!]

But those 78 videos generated 2,288 views across YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.

Here are some unexpected data points:

Percentage of Total Views by Platform
LinkedIn — 49.87%
Facebook — 30.59%
Twitter — 14.69%
YouTube — 04.85%

That’s right! I generated 10x the amount of audience engagement on LinkedIn than I did on YouTube – with the exact same videos.

Six times more on Facebook than YouTube, and even 3x on Twitter.

I’ll be sharing my thoughts on why that was the case in that future video.

The Top Five Videos (out of 22) generated over 40% of all views.

  • Only Hire People Who Can Advance Your Goals — 220 Views
  • Don’t Hire People (Unless You’re Serious About It) — 205 Views
  • All Relationships Are Temporary — 201 Views
  • Micromanage Early, Loosen Up Later — 152 Views
  • Don’t Hide Your Dirty Laundry — 139 Views

Those five videos will now become the basis of paid advertising I’m going to run for my online masterclass, How to Hire and Keep Great People.

Think about it: all of that content – and all of that learning – was squeezed out of just one presentation I gave back on January 23rd.

You may have heard that Content is King.

Content is King, and with more screens needing entertaining content now, more than at any time in history, that statement is truer than ever.
